I wanted to make the most of the unseasonal weather as rain is expected tomorrow. DD is very poorly - more than usual so I took the dogs round the block so the old dog could get a walk. I took him back and Poppy looked expectantly at me so I took her down the river. I forgot my camera but took some photos last week when I went on my own.
i love the fact that it only takes about 5 minutes from my house to walk to the river. I live within walking distance of the town center too so I am pleased to have interesting walks nearby.
I sat in the garden to eat lunch and do some paper work. Then I gave the front garden a good tidy up. I found that more satisfying than doing the back as it is much smaller and after half an hour I could see results.
The weather has been glorious hasn't it? I've been working and, as part of the residents activities schedule, I've been getting as many as I can out for wheelchair walks along the prom. Most of them have various dementias and some don't even like to go outside, but a couple of them were persuaded to go round the block just once and enjoyed it. Yes, the more seasonable weather will be back soon, so I'm looking forward to spring proper. Best, Jane x
ReplyDeleteThat is so good that you could take the residents out. Being outside definitely makes everybody feel better especially in the sun by the seaside.
DeleteThe walks are good therapy. Sorry DD is unwell.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes it makes us feel better and I enjoy your walks too.
DeleteGlad weather was lovely and you got out on a favorite walk. Sorry DD is not well. Garden is good for the soul. Even in this cold weather I have pulled a few weeds in the kitchen garden as I've walked by and is looking better already.
ReplyDeleteI put off doing the garden but it's true it does make us feel better when we do it.
DeleteHope DD is feeling better. A lovely walk it was nice to see the swans.
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes the swans are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk. It must be beautiful down by the river in the summertime, so lovely to have this on your doorstep. I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is unwell, I do hope she's feeling a bit better by now.
