Phoenix Garden

Last Friday I had an appointment at a London Hospital so looked up what was nearby and found the Phoenix Garden. It is not very big but a lovely little oasis in a busy area managed by volunteers.


This is from outside the garden and shows the roof of the new visitor building which is covered with plants.

 A really strange tree of which I don't know the name.




The last picture is lots of different tomato plants.

I love these unexpected little places run by the local community where you can sit quietly with a cup of tea.

    How lovely. I imagine people who live and work in the busy towns and cities need somewhere to just to sit, relax and think. Best, Jane x

      It seemed mainly city workers there eating their lunch and reading a book. Nobody was using a phone.It was so peaceful.

    I love those little fenced squares that they have in some parts of London - such a good idea.

    An unexpected garden is a delight. The city library in Birmingham has a roof top garden which is really lovely (even grows vegetables). It's so peaceful to sit there for a while, and you can see all across the city.
