Blogging

So what brought me to blogging? Back in 2009 my friend invited me to her blog which was private then.  I knew nothing about blogging then but really enjoyed her blog and through hers I found others and also through Google. I was busy working full time and caring for family members at the time but after I retired a friend set my blog up but I didn't know what I was doing. Eventually I learnt enough to post but I still have a lot to learn.

Posting was a bit spasmodic for a long while and then I decided to post once a week and even that didn't last long. Recently however I have had some health issues so sitting a bit more than usual. Added to that I had my first cruise with a friend and posting about that has been good and reminded me of the fun we had.

One project for this winter is learning to use the different features of Blogger. I do enjoy reading other blogs and seeing other peoples lives. I have learnt a lot as well.

  1. I only started blogging last year. I was following some lovely blogs and thought I'd give it a try. It's rather like keeping a diary and I enjoy looking back at my posts. I just added some of my favourite photos into my sidebar. I've been trying to find some way to make a photo gallery. I'm not greatly tech savvy, but John bought me a tablet last year and the only thing I have on it is JW.org. It's wonderful for the meetings and my bible and personal study :)

  2. I started my blog originally to promote my craft shop but then gave it up when we moved to the Isle of Lewis. I had made so many friends that I carried on blogging recording my makes and walks.

  3. Hi Jean,
I star blogging about 11 years ago! I've had various " free"blogs and now trying out my own website where I am now at connienakamura.org

Blogging helps a lot- especially for someone like me who lives in a foreign country. It helps my mental health a lot. I enjoy reading your blog. There are tutorials on Google that can help you learn more about blogger. I started off on blogger years ago.
